Details can often seem insignificant and are too easily overlooked, particularly when feeling pressurised. They can obscure the need to focus on a broader perspective, and can absorb time and energy which would be more valuably spent on wider areas of leadership or management. And yet, details are fundamental to almost every situation. They provide the basis to decision-making, and contribute to the impression given to customers, clients or colleagues. The repercussions of inaccurately recording or communicating information, can be far reaching, and sometimes with damaging consequences.
