What happened, I just fell asleep in March and I’ve woken up to this.
If you are bring your company back to life after months of furlough or closure, you will need to see what’s working just like your morning routine. My morning routine includes a sharp coffee, 15 minutes of yoga and some thinking. Not necessarily in that order.
My yoga is a repetitive sun salutation, a series of yoga positions held briefly, and linked with breathing. Aimed for me at waking up my aging body, stretching out my runner’s limbs and waking myself up.
The first rotation of movement is to tell my body to expect more. I don’t listen to the creaks and groans, I just want my body to go through the motion.
I repeat until all of my body is fully alive, but I listen to bits and feel for twinges so that I can give a little more stretch or deeper to make every bit work. Just in case I will go for a run, write a new blog or coach a client first thing, needing my fullest deepest attention.
And so waking your company up from sleep will be the same. Some parts will creak, some parts will groan or just not exist any more. You will need to exercise them, try them out AND be ready to pay more attention to them, listen deeply to your customers and staff.
And react, take action, take guidance and steer your way clear. If you would like a confidential chat about your immediate plan of action: drop me a line or choose a time slot.
