I couldn’t do a proper press up.

I couldn’t do a proper press up.

I used to watch others do presses and think, OMG how do they do that. And not just one, but loads!

Back then, I’d do Insanity and T25 workouts (beach body DVDs by ShaunT), and when it came to press ups, I’d desperately try, and cave in after just a couple on my knees.

“I just didn’t have the upper body strength, and I didn’t like presses”, was on replay in my brain!

Somewhere along the way I had a mindset shift.

I decided to stop resisting presses, and started allowing the opportunity. I channelled my discomfort to growth and believing, rather than indulging in lack and doubt.

Because I wanted to do press ups and believed I could.

I intentionally practiced over and over, literally pushing myself up and inviting the strength to come every time I did one.

Doubt shifted to belief.

Nowadays, press ups give me a boost, practicing continues playfully (even in an Indian outfit!), including 25 presses in 25 day for mental health awareness last year.

So, WHAT IF you stopped resisting and started allowing?

You stopped thinking unhelpful uninspiring thoughts that’s keeping you stuck.

And started allowing intentional and elevated thoughts that’ll accelerate you.

There’s a transformation in there if you invite it in!

What I do is what I believe, and what I believe is, our thoughts create our results.

I thought if I over delivered and outperformed I’d be recognised and successful.
