If you haven’t conducted your end of year reviews in December then don’t worry, you still have time. Ideally first quarter of this year you should be conducting annual reviews if you have not done so already.
You have a choice. You conduct a review just to tick a box and say you’ve done them. Or, you conduct meaningful performance reviews that will provide your workforce routes to development and transparent feedback. An even more meaningful impact would mean to open meaningful two-way dialogue so that, you as a manager/ department head, are aware of any constraints your team experience. This means you can work together with HR to help staff overcome these barriers.
It is also a time for management and directors to feed into HR of their experiences over the last year so that we can use the data from both sides to inform what your HR strategies will look like in 2025.
