As a child we were controlled by feelings.
Fear, anger, sadness , guilt, frustration and anxiety.
And we truly responded to these emotions.
Do your feelings control you now as an adult?
Do you believe the world would be more difficult as an adult if we were at the mercy of our feelings?
As we grow we learn so many different ways to control our feelings.
What are these called?
Distractions
Food
Music
TV
Books
Games
Sex
Gambling
Drugs
Alcohol
Walking the dog
Dancing
Cooking
ETC

Some are temporary relief from painful feelings.
But we still suffer.
I believe to live a full life we need to experience the full range of emotions, not just the good ones.
How do we deal with Reality?
My perception Control or To Be Controlled are not the only way.
Fulfilment is only able when we stay still, present, and allow those emotions to move around us.
Don't let these emotions overwhelm you, or allow you to get lost with them.
They will dominate you and your life.
When you try to push them away, it's exhausting and becomes an internal struggle causing mental health.
